Pleasure Ride 22nd July

Opportunity to ride round on a mixture of quiet country lanes, bridle paths & dales in the heart of the Manifold Valley, including Beresford Dale, the Manifold Way, Back of Ecton, Narrowdale, Alstonefield &  Milldale.

The ride will last approximately 3.5 to 4 hours, starting from the village of Wetton, in Derbyshire. There should be opportunities to have a canter for those who wish.

Food & refreshments will be available afterwards.

Ride will commence at 11am. Parking at the bottom of Carr Farm, Carr Lane, Wetton, near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, DE6 2AF. Everyone welcome £15 per rider.

Organised by the Goodridge family.

For those driving on the sat-nav, use DE6 2AF as the destination. However, please note there are many routes into Wetton, all of which are single lanes with passing places. Depending on the direction you approach from, your navigation system may propose a route that isn't suitable for larger or towing vehicles. Therefore, the least challenging route is to program your sat-nav to go via Hulme End. Or if you come from/through Ashbourne program it to go via Hartington.

The village of Wetton has just one postcode which will take you to the small village green (opposite the white pub). Once arrived there, turn left. Then after 130 yards take the first right & 100 yards further down on your right is the Wetton car park. Drive through the farm gate onto the track in the field to park.

In case you drive on a map:

Coming from Ashbourne take the A515 towards Buxton and take left turn signposted Hartington.

Coming from the direction Pikehall / Newhaven turn right onto the A515 towards Buxton. Then take 1st left towards Hartington.

Stay on the B5054 through Hartington, after approx. 1.5 mile, you'll turn left at the Manifold Inn. From then on follow the signage to Wetton.

Coming from A523 Leek (via Warslow B5053) or Buxton (via Longnor B5053), in Hulme End, at the Manifold Inn, turn right over the bridge. From then on follow the signage to Wetton.
